Quick Pillow Cover

I came across these cute placemats the other day and thought they would make a better pillow. So here is the easiest pillow slip cover possible. The whole project takes about 15 minutes, and it is so cheap and easy you can make a bunch.

Start by putting the under-sides together, meaning that the side with the image is facing out. Since the edges of these placemats have a fringe there is no need to sew it inside out.

You can see that one placemat is longer than the other, no biggie the pillow I have is smaller anyway. Next you will sew along the edges of the three sides, leaving the side that the edges don't match up open. Stuff your pillow in through the opening.

Then pin along the edge of the opening. Since this material has an unfinished look it looks ok with an unfinished edge, the fabric will fray naturally. Then sew it shut, remove the pins and cut off the excess fabric.

Next throw it on your couch and move on to the next project! Seriously this took less than 15 minutes and cost less than 5.00. Pretty good project if you ask me.
